okay, here is the scoop. i had to uninstall rm2k3, then re-install it. doing so made me lose all my maps . fear not, however, for i have made new ones and would love some criticim on them.

Not bad, only thing that stands out is the square lavas going around. Then again, this could be the chipset, because not all chipsets have good lookin lavas. For the first map, if for the chipset you have, maybe add a few things of: Statues, towers, underground stairs etc. Other than that, it looks fine.

That's a good idea. Korin is pretty good at making maps. I've seen what he could do on the compos recent project.

really could use feedback on this. is there any way i can the walls look more realistic? this map isn't finished, though. i just need feedback to see how i'm doing.

There should be purple or white tiles on there that goes long vertically. Use those or rather, add it to the bottom of the purple ceiling.
I'll post an example soon.

I gotta say, that's a huge house for no furniture. It also seems that you've mistaken the ceiling part for walls. The walls were actually supposed to go below those. It's like Paradelous said, those long vertical walls on the first tile set.
